Whitening teeth 3 weeks after wisdom teeth surgery?

I had wisdom teeth surgery two weeks ago. I took very to the surgery and had minimal problems. Although I am still healing (I have been informed it could take up to two months). I am now wanting to go back to my normal teeth hygiene and using a mild whitener that I use every few months. I also use mouth wash with hydrogen peroxide. Is it to early to be using this products yet? I know my dentist said I could drink alcohol after just one week...
