What's my name?

I am the largest man-made lake in the eastern United States. I backs up a river for 184 miles and create a lake that stretches south across the western tip of Kentucky and nearly the entire width of Tennessee. At maximum normal operating level, I cover 160,300 acres! I control floods on the lower Ohio and Mississippi rivers; I am the gateway to the Tennessee River waterway and have major generating plant.
