High school sweetheart? I like my friend?

I have a friend that I like. He's such a sweetie. He's very gentlemanly and funny. He always says things like "I love you" and he said he's a virgin. Well I was talking to one of his friends and she said that he's one of the rare guys that is just looking for love. His parents met in highschool and the same happened for his brother. He said he just wants a highschool sweetheart. How can I be that for him? Like what kind of girls do guys like him go for? And what does all of this say about him?
