Florida temporary teacher certifcate?

I'm interested in getting the temporary teaching certificate in Florida, as I have yet to complete a program like an EPI, or the one offered through ABCTE. If I am able to receive a temporary certificate, how do I actually gain experience as a teacher? I graduated with a degree in Social Science, so I would teach a related course, but how do I even know where to begin? I am definitely considering enrolling in an education program so that I can earn a permanent certificate, but how is it that they can offer a temporary certificate without sending potential teachers to a program to actually learn how to teach?
