Why won't my computer connect to the internet after a storm.?

So there was a storm earlier and after a particularly loud thunderclap the internet on my desktop decided it didn't want to work any more. At first I thought it was a network problem, so I gave it some time, but my laptop works fine when I plug my ethernet cord in to it. I have a Sony Vaio PCV-W600G and Comcast high speed. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is my computer gone for good =(? I've already tried resetting the connection, forcing it to automatically find an IP address, and restoring my computer to last Tuesday.
