Teenage skin question!! Please help!?

Well, I Have all this redness around my nose, and after I shower, it dries up and flakes skin off, but never all the way. I've had it for months now and my mom thinks it's just oil and hormones, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this? It's not Like pimples or anything, just redness all around the crevices of my nose... Opinions please! Ty
